Teaching Assistants are crucial to the development of excellence in undergraduate education. To help you meet the high standards Rutgers establishes for all of its teachers, the TA Project will hold its annual TA Orientation for all new Teaching Assistants on Thursday, August 31, 2017, from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. The orientation will be held at the College Avenue Student Center on the College Avenue Campus. You may park in Lot 30 (located behind the College Avenue Student Center).
The orientation consists of a series of presentations, panel sessions, and workshops that offer participants a forum in which to discuss general and discipline-specific teaching issues, receive advice and guidance from experienced TAs and faculty, explore a variety of pedagogical methods, and learn about Rutgers undergraduate student culture. Newly appointed Teaching Assistants are required to attend the orientation.
